Use Insights > Reports > All Reports when you need an answer the dashboards do not give you directly: a list, a ranking, an aging, a margin, or a statement you can filter by date, export, and keep. The page is the catalog of every report you can run, grouped by category, plus the reports you and your team have saved. You can reach it from the deck, from the command palette navigation search, from the Reports link at the top of any report, and from Back to Analytics on Scheduled Reports.

Before You Start

  • You need View Reports to open the catalog and run reports.
  • Export Reports lets you save a copy, save or update a report with your filters, rename, share, verify, or delete your saved reports, export a full dataset, and schedule reports. Without it those buttons are hidden, and a full-dataset export is refused.
  • Some reports read cost, margin, or financial data. Reports that need a permission your role lacks, such as View Accounting, are left out of your catalog. Opening one from a link shows You don’t have permission to run this report.
  • Reports that pick an accounting period list their periods only when you have View Accounting.

Find a Report

  1. Open Insights > Reports > All Reports. The header shows how many reports you can see and how many are saved.
  2. Type in Search reports to match report names, descriptions, and categories.
  3. Narrow the list with Type (All, Built-in, or Saved), Owner (All, Mine, or Shared), and the category menu (All categories, or one category such as Sales, Accounts, Products, Orders & Fulfillment, Inventory, Accounting, Payments & Tax, Vendors, Commission, Phone & Calls, or Margin). The Owner filter shows saved reports only.
  4. Click a report name to open it.
While a filter is on, the header count reads, for example, “12 of 96 reports”. The address bar keeps your search and filters, so a copied link opens the same view. When nothing matches, the page reads No reports match your filters; choose Clear filters to see the full catalog. If the catalog cannot load, you see Could not load reports with a Retry button. The page is laid out in sections:
  • Analytics Dashboard: a card that opens Insights > Reports > Analytics Dashboard. It shows when no filter is on.
  • My saved reports: the reports you saved and the ones teammates shared with you.
  • Operational reports: dedicated report pages such as Product Margin, Shipping Margin, Listings Performance, Returns by Reason, Freight Classification Audit, Credit-Hold Overrides, Coupon Spend by GL Account, and Delinquency Acknowledged.
  • One section per category of built-in reports.
The header also has Analytics Dashboard and Build a report. Build a report opens Insights > Reports > Report Builder, where you start from a report you already have or from scratch.

Read a Report Tile

Each tile shows the report name, a trust badge, and a short description:
  • Curated: a built-in report, or a saved report that its owner verified.
  • Saved: a report someone saved from the catalog or the builder.
  • AI-generated: a report saved from an Arcus AI answer that has not been verified yet.
  • Shared or Private: whether a saved report is visible to your team or only to its owner.
  • Scheduled: the report is emailed on a schedule.
The tile footer names the Owner of a saved report and when it was Last generated, or Not yet generated. A report that cannot be opened from the catalog shows its name greyed out with the hint This report cannot be opened from the catalogue. Tile buttons (hover to see each one’s name):
  • Save a copy: copies a built-in report so you can customize it, or copies a saved report. Needs Export Reports.
  • Share with team or Make private: switches who can see your saved report. You see Report shared with your team or Report is now private. Owner only, with Export Reports.
  • Rename: opens Rename report. You see Report renamed. Owner only, with Export Reports.
  • Delete: opens Delete saved report. For a shared report it warns This report is shared with your team; deleting it removes it for everyone. For a private one it says Only you can see this report. Deleting it cannot be undone from here. You see Report deleted. Owner only, with Export Reports.

Run a Report

When you open a built-in report, it runs with its default settings. The controls above the results depend on the report:
  • Date range: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Week to date, Month to date, Quarter to date, Year to date, Last calendar month, Last calendar quarter, Last calendar year, Last 12 months, or Custom range. Reports by month offer only the whole-month ranges. Reports that support it also offer a comparison (No comparison, Previous period, Previous period (weekday-matched), Previous year, or Custom range) and a granularity (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly).
  • As of: reports that show a position on one date, such as Billed Not Shipped, take an As of date instead.
  • Period: reports that follow your accounting calendar take an accounting Period.
  • Switches: some reports offer on or off filters beside the date controls.
The results show as a table, with a chart for reports that have one. Switch between Table and Chart, and use Chart type to change the chart when you can save reports. Chips above the results flag caveats, such as Partial period when the range is still in progress. Reports built from a refreshed snapshot show As of with the time of the last refresh beside the report’s category. Use Refresh to run the report again. Messages you may see:
  • No data with No rows in the selected range. Try a wider range. or This report returned no rows.: nothing matched. Widen the dates or change a filter.
  • Could not run this report with The report could not be generated. Try refreshing or narrowing the date range.: choose Retry, or narrow the range.
  • Report not found: the link names a report that does not exist. Use Back to Reports.
  • You don’t have permission to run this report: the report reads cost, margin, or per-customer financial data your role does not include.
  • This report is not available to you: a saved report was deleted, or belongs to a teammate who has not shared it with you.

Export a Report

Open Export report above the results:
  • This view > Export current view (CSV): downloads the rows on screen, up to 5,000.
  • Full dataset > Export full dataset (CSV): every matching row. The export runs in the background and downloads when ready. You see a “Preparing” message, then the report name with “ready”. A downloads icon appears in the header while an export is running. Needs Export Reports.
If a second full export is started too soon, you see An export is already running. Please wait for it to finish. A failed export shows Export failed: with the reason.

Save Your Own Version

With Export Reports, a report you run can be kept with its current dates, filters, and chart:
  1. Choose Save as on a built-in report, or Update this report when you opened one of your saved reports. Save as new saves a separate copy and leaves the original unchanged.
  2. In the Save as new report window (titled Update this report when you update), enter the Report name, an optional Group, Who can see it (Just me or This entity (shared)), and an optional Description.
  3. Turn on Create a schedule after saving to go straight to Scheduled Reports with this report selected. The switch reads Not available for reports built in the report builder, which cannot be scheduled yet.
  4. Save. You see Report saved, Report updated, or Saved a copy, and Arcus opens the saved report.

Work With a Saved Report

A saved report has its own page, which opens right after you save it and when you open a report built in the report builder; opening another saved report from the catalog runs it in the report runner with its saved settings. The page shows its trust badge and these actions:
  • Customize: opens the report runner so you can change the dates and filters.
  • Share: owners with Export Reports can share with specific teammates. In Share report, use Add people to pick a teammate, choose Can view or Can edit (not delete), and review the Shared with list, where Remove takes a person off. You see Report shared or Share removed.
  • Save a copy (or Save a copy to customize on a report you do not own): makes your own editable copy.
  • Edit: opens a report builder report in the builder.
  • Verify as curated and Unverify: the owner, with Export Reports, can promote a report to Curated or return it to a standard saved report. A curated report can be scheduled to other people.
  • Show in chat: reopens an AI-generated report in Arcus AI.
An AI-generated report must be verified before you schedule it to other people. You can still schedule it to yourself. Verifying shows Report promoted to Curated and unverifying shows Curated status removed, and a change that does not go through shows a message such as Could not save the report, Could not update the report, Could not save a copy, Could not rename the report, Could not update sharing, Could not delete the report, Could not share the report., Could not remove the share. or Could not update verification.

Report Notes

  • Returns Analysis links each return to its original order, with a separate link to the return itself. It lists returns created in Arcus beside return documents imported from a previous system.
  • Billed Not Shipped lists billed documents with value not yet shipped as of the date you choose, with their shipment dates. Amounts carried over from a previous system show separately, and the report states the basis it calculates on.
  • Reports that show past receivables and payables read the calendar date you choose, so a past date shows the position on that date rather than today’s activity applied to an older balance.
  • Sales and profit reports state which recognized sales they count. In a PDF, a long basis description wraps under the header instead of covering the details beneath it.
  • Payment Method Breakdown shows every receipt beside the amounts credited to documents, and Payment & Collections Summary names the customer on payments applied across several invoices.
  • Order Total Margin (Fully-Landed) carries a sales order’s carrier cost to its per-shipment invoices, including invoices not numbered yet. A carrier cost already on a line is kept.
  • Freight Classification Audit also reads your shipping rules, which needs View Settings.

What Changes When You Use This Page

  • Running and exporting reports reads your data. It does not post, move stock, or change any record.
  • Saving, updating, renaming, sharing, and deleting a saved report are recorded in Organization > Audit Log, and teammates’ catalogs update on their own.
  • Deleting a shared report removes it for everyone it was shared with.
