Open Shipments

Open Shipments from the main app navigation when you need a cross-order view of packages with tracking numbers. The list includes packages once they have a tracking number, usually after label creation or shipment.

Shipments page with search, status filter, carrier filter, export CSV, and shipment table

Find A Shipment

  • Search: search by tracking number, order number, or customer name.
  • Status filter: narrow to Label Created, In Transit, Delivered, or Returned.
  • Carrier filter: narrow to USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or all carriers.
  • Export CSV: export the current shipment rows when the list has results.
  • Row click: open the shipment drawer for carrier, service, package, tracking events, package contents, related records, and label actions.
Shipment rows are package-based A single order can create more than one package. Each package can have its own tracking number, carrier, service, label, and tracking timeline.

Use The Shipment Drawer

Click a shipment row to open the drawer. The drawer shows the tracking number, copy action, carrier tracking link, shipment status, carrier and service details, tracking events, package contents, related order, related invoice when available, related customer, related return when applicable, and a label print action when a label URL exists.

  • Copy tracking: use when sending a tracking number to a customer.
  • Track on carrier: opens the carrier’s public tracking page when the carrier is recognized.
  • Tracking events: show carrier updates sorted newest first.
  • Package contents: helps support confirm what was shipped.
  • Related documents: jump back to the order, invoice, customer, or return.
  • Print Label: opens the stored label when the package has a label URL.
Do not use Shipments to create labels Shipments is for tracking and review. Buy labels from the package or fulfillment workflow so package dimensions, service, cost, tracking, documents, and order state stay connected.

Open Rate Shop Preview

Open Rate Shop Preview when a customer asks for available carrier and service options before committing to a label. Previewing rates does not buy a label and does not charge the customer.

Rate Shop Preview in From order mode with Order ID field and Preview rates button

Preview From An Order

  1. Open Rate Shop Preview.
  2. Choose From order.
  3. Paste the order UUID.
  4. Click Preview rates.
  5. Read the returned carrier, service, transit, ETA, and cost options to the customer.
Order mode uses package data when available If the order already has package dimensions and weights, those values are used. If no package exists, the preview can estimate a parcel from item weights and a default box so the CSR can still quote before packing.

Preview A Raw Destination

Use Raw destination + parcel when the customer is asking for an estimate before an order or package exists. Enter destination address details and parcel dimensions to preview rates.

Rate Shop Preview raw destination and parcel mode with recipient, address, dimensions, weight, and Preview rates
  • Recipient name: optional name used for the quote request.
  • Street, city, state, ZIP: destination address used for rate lookup.
  • Length, width, height: package dimensions in inches.
  • Weight: package weight in pounds.
  • Preview rates: requests quote-only rates without buying a label.

What Rate Preview Does Not Do

  • It does not buy a shipping label.
  • It does not print anything.
  • It does not mark a package shipped.
  • It does not notify the customer.
  • It does not replace the final rate check at label purchase time.

Common Blocks

  • No shipments found: confirm the order has a package with a tracking number.
  • Customer cannot find tracking: copy the tracking number from Shipments or open the carrier tracking link.
  • No carrier tracking link: the carrier value may not match a supported carrier shortcut.
  • No rates returned: confirm the address, dimensions, weight, Shippo connection, and carrier account setup.
  • Preview differs from final label cost: final cost can change when the real package, address, service, or carrier rules differ at purchase time.
  • Need to void or repack: use the package and label workflow, not the Shipments list.
